PORTFOLIO

Being a teacher for 15 years afforded me the opportunity to traverse in the creative road of learning and teaching. My experiences were not only confined in the four corners of the classroom but I was allowed to go beyond what my degree has taught me.

For instance, on my second year of teaching, I made a TV commercial that was shown in the whole Bicol province as part of the school’s publicity. 15 years thereafter, I was able to publish two coffee table books, seven yearbooks, countless magazines, newspapers/ newsletters, leaflets and other promotional stuff. I also designed billboards, made promotional videos, and built websites. In total, I received about 300 awards which varies from Journalism to short film making.

Little did I know that by not saying no to those challenges, I opened a door for myself to create a totally different path from being a teacher. Now, I do a lot of graphic design, video content creation, building websites and managing Facebook pages. This reminds me that, “Self is a sea boundless and measureless.”
